“No such thing as a solitary polar explorer…”

In an “Expedition to the Pole,” Annie Dillard writes, “There is no such thing as a solitary polar explorer, fine as the conception is.” And my past year of traveling and interviewing about Beard has certainly proven that to me. My people are the best people. And I could not love them more. Here’s some of what I’ve been up to since I last posted pictures in December.
